First Day of School

Wednesday was Jase's first day at the big school! He was so excited. Our day started with Jase waking up before me and heading downstairs to eat breakfast. By the time I was up and stirring, this is what I saw.

Backpack on, dressed and watching cartoons. We finish the morning process and take the traditional first day of school photos.

Jase coming down the stairs - super excited.

Out Front

With Dad outfront

Jase felt leftout - so he took this one. Not bad for a film camera.

In the car - ready to roll.

From here we head out to the big school. All the kindergarteners are at Boone this year. Lucky for us - Boone's color is red (Jase's favorite color).

Dad and Jase walking inside.

From here it was like Jase had done this a million times. He was beaming as he walked inside. One of the teachers by the door even commented on his smile. We went into the designated meeting room, found the teachers line, said our goodbyes and took one last picture.

I'm sure that many our wondering... okay Jase did great, but what about Mom. Well, yes I did okay in front of Jase. Yes, he has been going to a daycare or preschool pretty much all his life. Yes, once we were out of the building, I was crying like a baby.

Everyone can thank Tony for this amazing photo!

I cried like a baby the day Audrey started school too...and it was my second school ager! We walked out and I looked at Jamie saying "We are so old...all we have now is school agers!!"
